Pedestrian Identified in
Fatal Collision on Walmsley Boulevard
The
Richmond Police Department Crash Team has identified the pedestrian who was
struck while crossing Walmsley Boulevard as Enrique Caal Juc, 46, of
Richmond.
Yesterday
at approximately 10:52 p.m., officers
were called to the 4700 block of Walmsley Boulevard for the report of vehicle
striking a pedestrian. Officers arrived and found an adult male, Caal Juc, down
and unresponsive in the roadway. He was transported to a local hospital where this
morning he succumbed to his injuries.
The RPD Crash Team responded to
the scene and determined Caal Juc, not in a crosswalk, was crossing Walmsley
Boulevard eastbound when a vehicle being operated northbound struck him. The
driver remained on scene.
The investigation continues. At
this time, charges have not been filed.
