Riverside Drive Death Investigation
Yesterday at approximately 6:03 p.m., officers were called to the 5000 block of Riverside Drive for the report of a person down in the James River, just upriver from the Boulevard Bridge. Officers, along with the Richmond Fire Department, and emergency medical personnel, located an adult male lying on a rock/concrete pad approximately 20 yards from the riverbank on the south side of the river. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
