Arrest Made in
Decatur Street Homicide Investigation
Richmond Police
detectives have made an arrest in the homicide that occurred last Sunday on
Decatur Street.
Juvenile male,
16, of Richmond, was
arrested yesterday and was charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm
in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by juvenile.
At approximately
6:08 p.m., Sunday, March 22 officers were called to the intersection of East
11th and Hull streets for the report of a shooting. Officers
arrived and found a juvenile male down and unresponsive in the intersection.
The male, 15, of Richmond, had suffered apparent gunshot wounds and was
transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Major Crimes
detectives have determined the shooting occurred in the 1000 block of
Decatur Street.
