Victim Identified in St. Peter Street Death Investigation

Last night at approximately 9:41 p.m., Richmond Police Department officers were called to the 1300 block of St. Peter Street for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male, Markese Callahan-Davis, 18, of Richmond, down suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Callahan was transported to a local hospital, where lifesaving measures were performed, but he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Detectives with the RPD Major Crimes unit responded and interviewed individuals. Investigators are not looking for any suspects at this time.
