Oliver Hill Way Homicide Victim Identified, But Police Seek Help Locating Relatives

Arrests were quickly made last week in the murder of a Richmond man found in a building on Oliver Hill Way. However, Richmond Police detectives have not been able to locate the man’s family members as quickly.

At 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, a passer-by discovered the body of man in a vacant building in the 900 block of Oliver Hill Way. That man has been identified as David Eugene Brown, 50, of Richmond. Brown did not have a permanent address.

Richmond Police detectives have exhausted all means to identify and notify Brown’s relatives of his death. He was known to frequent the areas of Monroe Park and 18th and Broad streets. He is a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds.

Anyone with information about Brown or his family, friends or acquaintances is asked to contact Major Crimes Detective David Burt at 646-3913.

John Miglucci, Mary L. Smith and Aaron Tripoli were charged last Thursday with conspiracy to commit murder in Brown’s death.
