Arrest Made in Redd Street Assaults

Richmond Police detectives have arrested one juvenile female and additional arrests will be made in the case of an assault caught on video Sunday night in the city’s East End.

At approximately 7 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to the 1900 block of Redd Street for a report of a fight. After further investigation, which includes the review of video of the incident, detectives arrested a teen female yesterday and charged her with one felony count of inciting a riot and three counts of misdemeanor assault. Additional charges are pending.

Detectives are continuing to review the video to identify other individuals involved in the incident.

Suspect Identified, Sought in Hull Street Homicides/Shootings

The Richmond Police Department has identified the suspect wanted in connection to the shooting of four people last week, but need the public’s help to find him.

Mark “Clean Up” Skeete, 28, of no fixed address, is wanted on two charges of attempted murder and two charges use of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the shooting of two men on Wednesday, Sept. 17, in the 600 block of Warwick Village Drive.

Skeete is also a suspect in the shooting deaths of Saquenta Dixon and Andre Todd, both 26 and of the 5300 block of Hull Street, on Monday, Sept. 15, in the 5300 block of Hull Street.


Detectives believe Skeete is still in the Richmond area and ask anyone with any information about his whereabouts to call the Department’s Tipline at 514-TIPS or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Westover Village Drive Homicide

Richmond Police detectives are in the early stages of a homicide investigation on the city’s Southside.

At approximately 4 p.m. today, officers were called to the 5800 block of Westover Village Drive for a report of a person shot. Officers arrived on scene within minutes and found an adult male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

He was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment and later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as Jazztyne Johnson, 30, and he was shot inside his residence in the 5800 block of Westover Village Drive.

Detectives do not believe this shooting was random and are following up on several strong leads.

Person of Interest & Vehicle Sought in Hull Street Homicides/Shootings

The Richmond Police Department needs the public’s help to identify a person of interest and find a vehicle wanted in connection with Monday’s double homicide and this morning’s double shooting.

Detectives believe the same person committed both crimes.

The person of interest is described as a black male with a dark complexion, approximately 5’6” and about 32 years old. He also has a New York accent and a stained or discolored tooth with a black line across it.

He was last seen Monday night wearing a black doo rag, all black clothing and a shirt with a white diamond on the front. Today, victims described him as having a goatee and wearing white shoes and gray sweatpants.

The vehicle is described as tan-colored, 2004 Nissan Sentra with the Virginia license plate “VAK 2807.”

Today’s shooting of two adult males occurred at approximately 1:07 a.m. in the 600 block of Warwick Village Drive. The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 10:37 p.m. on Monday, officers were called to the 5300 block of Hull Street for a report of two individuals who had been shot. When they arrived, they found Saquenta Dixon and Andre Todd, both 26 and of the 5300 block of Hull Street, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both died at the scene.

Graffiti Vandal Sought

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify a man who vandalized a parking sign and the side of a building.

At approximately 4 a.m. on Aug. 28, an unknown male vandalized two objects in the 100 block of West Marshall Street.

He is described as a male with a thin build, full beard, approximately 5’10” tall and sleeve tattoos on both arms. He was last seen wearing a ball cap, tank top, dark stretch jeans and light-colored shoes.

Hull Street Double Homicide

The Richmond Police Department is investigating a double homicide that occurred last night at an apartment complex on the city’s south side.

The call was received at approximately 10:37 p.m. Monday that gunshots had been heard at Meadow Creek Apartments in the 5300 block of Hull Street.

Responding officers located the bodies of two gunshot victims in the parking lot there. They have been identified as Saquetta Dixon, 26, and Andre Todd, 26, both of the 5300 block of Hull Street. They shared an apartment at that location.

The medical examiner will determine the exact cause and manner of death.

There is no suspect information to release at this time.

East End Armed Robber Sought

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify a person of interest in the below photos in connection with two crimes involving firearms in the city’s East End.

At approximately 10 p.m. on Sept. 5 in the 2200 block of East Broad Street, an unknown male robbed two women at gunpoint before fleeing the scene in a silver, four-door sedan. The suspect had a white sweater wrapped around his hand and indicated he had a gun.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 11 in the 2200 block of East Cary Street, an unknown male brandished a firearm and threatened to shoot a man who was walking down the street. The suspect had a white piece of clothing wrapped around his hand and a white shirt wrapped around his face.

Based on incident details and the suspect’s description as a black male with a box-style haircut, detectives believe it was the same person.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 5, male walked into the BP Amoco station at 2869 Broad Rock Blvd. and robbed the employee at gunpoint.

FasMart Robber Sought

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a convenience store at knifepoint Sunday night.

He can be seen in the below surveillance images.

At approximately 11:44 p.m. Sunday, an unknown male walked into the FasMart at 1201 Westover Hills Blvd. and robbed the business at knifepoint. He was last seen running away from the area.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male with a mustache in his mid-30s to mid-40s, weighing approximately 160 to 190 pounds and about 5’11” to 6’0” feet tall.

Computer Thief Sought

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify a man who walked into a Fan computer store and snatched four laptops.

He can be seen in the below surveillance image.

At approximately 10 a.m. Saturday, an unknown white male walked into Capitol Mac at 1307 W. Main St., grabbed four laptops worth approximately $5,000 and ran from the store to a waiting car driven by an unknown female. The car is described as a gold-colored, older model Chrysler.

The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in Saturday’s homicide as Keith D. Evans, 37, of the 1600 block of Glenfield Avenue.

At approximately 5:47 p.m., officers were called to the 2300 block of Fairfield Avenue for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found Evans suffering from a gunshot wound.

Evans was transported to VCU Medical Center where he died.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.

Shell Station Robber Sought

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint yesterday afternoon.

He can be seen in the below surveillance image.

At approximately 4:38 p.m. Monday, an unknown male walked into the Shell station at 6332 Jahnke Road and robbed the business at gunpoint. He was last seen running away from the area.

The suspect is described as a black male between age 20 and 25, 5’9” and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
