Arrest Made in Homicide of Deandre Briody on Ruffin Road
Richmond Police detectives, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force, on Wednesday arrested Khalil Rogers, 22, of North Chesterfield, without incident in connection with the homicide of Deandre Broidy.
At approximately 2:07 p.m., Friday, December 9, officers were called to the 2200 block of Ruffin Road for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived but no victim was on scene. In the 5600 block of Warwick Road officers located an adult male, Deandre Broidy, 22, of Richmond, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Detectives determined Broidy was shot while in the 2200 block of Ruffin Road and attempted to self-transport to a local hospital. Broidy was transported to the hospital by EMS where he succumbed to his injury.
Rogers was charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Additional charges are pending.
