Victim Identified, Suspect Sought in North Avenue Homicide
Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in the homicide that occurred on Saturday and are asking the public for assistance in identifying and locating the suspect.
On Saturday at approximately 5:29 a.m., a passerby saw a person down in a business in the 4200 block of North Avenue. Richmond Police Department officers were called to the scene.
The Richmond Fire Department was called to the scene and made entry into the business. RPD officers located an adult male employee down and unresponsive. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Abidine Boye, 30, of Richmond.
Detectives are investigating and are sharing with the public two photos of the possible suspect in hopes he can be identified and located. The photos are attached.
