RPD Invites Public Comment for CALEA Re-accreditation - POSTPONED

WHAT:                             Public Comment Opportunity during CALEA Visit

WHEN:                            5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020
WHERE:                         RPD Training Academy, 1202 W. Graham Road
BACKGROUND:             As part of the Richmond Police Department’s international accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., (CALEA), a meeting will be held to gather input and comments from the general public. The media and members of the community are encouraged to attend.
                                           The CALEA assessors will examine all aspects of RPD’s policy and procedures, management, patrol and support services. Input from agency employees and community members at the public meeting is encouraged.
                                           If you are unable to attend the meeting but wish to provide comments you may call (804) 646-3933 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17 to speak to an the assessment team. You may also provide written comments to the CALEA Regional Program Manager, 13757 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 320, Gainesville, VA 20155 or email at calea@calea.org.
