Suspect Sought in Commercial Burglary on West Cary Street

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect in a commercial burglary that occurred on St. Patrick’s Day.

At approximately 6:10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, officers responded to a business in the 1200 block of West Cary Street for the report of a commercial burglary. When officers arrived, a witness stated she heard glass breaking from the business next door.

Video surveillance shows a man jump head first into the glass door of the business. He’s then seen smashing a cabinet and reportedly stole thousands of dollars of merchandise.

The suspect was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and a black backpack.
