Arrests Made in 4 Robberies

Richmond and VCU Police detectives have arrested two men in connection with four downtown robberies and one attempted robbery this past weekend.

Forrell Z. Council, 18, of Henrico, and Leonard L. Bullock, 29, of the 1300 block of Jennie Scher Road, have both been charged with one count each of robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the Oct. 6 armed robbery of a man just at approximately 1 a.m. in the 00 block of South Morris Street.

Richmond and VCU Police officers spotted the suspects a short time later. VCU Police Corporal Cecil Powell recovered the weapon used while VCU Police Officer Doug Dawson and Richmond Police K-9 Officer Monty Agee captured Bullock, pictured above, after a short foot pursuit.

After further investigation by Third Precinct Detective Jack Larry and assistance from VCU Police Officers Jennifer Riemann and Doug Dawson, Council was identified and then arrested by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday.

Additional charges are pending as the men are also suspects in the below crimes:
*a man was robbed at gunpoint by two unknown males at 11:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of Colorado Avenue on Oct. 5
*a man and woman were robbed at gunpoint by two unknown males at 11:50 p.m. in the 1400 block of Colorado Avenue on Oct. 5;
*a man was robbed at gunpoint by two unknown males at 1 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Main Street on Oct. 6; and
*two males tried to rob a female at gunpoint at approximately 1 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Cary Street on Oct. 6.
