Richmond Police detectives have arrested and charged a man
in connection with last night’s homicide on West Broad Street.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday, officers
received a call for shots fired in a parking lot in the 500 block of West
Broad Street. Officers were on scene within a minute and found Marquis
J. Richardson, 18, of Chester, suffering from gunshot wounds inside a
vehicle. He died at the scene.
Quintin Washington, 28, of the 3900 block of Delmont
Street, has been charged with voluntary
manslaughter and use of firearm in commission of a felony.
Detectives believe an argument between the pair, who knew
each other, was the motive for the shooting.
