Individuals Struck by Train Identified

The Richmond Police Department has identified the two individuals who died after being struck by a train last night.

At approximately 10:25 p.m., officers were called to the 1800 block of Broad Rock Boulevard for the report of two men struck by a train at the railroad crossing.

Officers arrived and found Darrel L. Page, 50, of the 2000 block of South Kinsley Avenue dead from his injuries near the crossing. Officers also found Clarence L. Alexander, 40, of the 2400 block of Cersley Street, injured near the crossing. Despite medical treatment he also died at the scene.


Witnesses reported the two men attempted to cross the tracks despite the railroad safety gates being down and operational as the train approached. The two men were struck by the train in the crossing.
