The
Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in the Greenville Avenue
homicide investigation.
At
approximately 9:45 a.m., Saturday, officers were called to the 1500 block of
Greenville Avenue for the report of a person down. Officers arrived and found
Almon L. Winston, 37, of the 2000 block of Maplewood Avenue, in a side yard of
a home at the corner of Greenville and Dakota avenues dead from an apparent
gunshot wound.
The
Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
