The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim of a homicide that occurred yesterday on Walmsley Boulevard.
Around 11:30 a.m. yesterday, RPD officers were called to the
3400 block of Walmsley Boulevard for a report of a person shot. When they arrived,
Brandon A. Harvey, 26, of the 30 block of LaBrook Drive, was found
suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries later that
day at a local hospital.
While officers were on scene, a report came in of a second
person shot in the same apartment complex. Officers responded and found a
second man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital
with non life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are actively working leads, and the case remains
under investigation.
