The Richmond Police Department’s Crash Team has identified the victim in Saturday night’s fatal two-vehicle collision on Hospital Street as Sharleen Holmes, 67.
Last Saturday at approximately 4:43 p.m., Richmond Police responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 700 block of Hospital Street. Officers arrived and found an adult female, Holmes, unconscious resulting from the crash. She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Holmes was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
The RPD Crash Team responded and Detectives have determined that a Chevrolet Malibu was traveling east on Hospital Street in the 700 block when it struck the rear of a Buick Century. The driver and passenger of the Buick Century remained on scene and provided statements to officers.
