Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual in the attached photos who is a person of interest in a shooting outside a convenience store last week.
At approximately 7:11 a.m. on Friday, July 15, officers were called to the 1900 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike for the report of a shooting. A nearby Henrico Police officer located an adult male in the 1900 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. RPD officers also arrived and the male was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were considered life threatening. RPD detectives are investigating.
Detectives have determined the shooting took place outside a nearby convenience store, located in the 1900 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike. Surveillance photos from that location show the person of interest inside and outside the business.
