 Arrest Made, Victim Identified in St. Paul Street Homicide

Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in the homicide that occurred on Monday as Tynisa Tony, 29, of Richmond.

At approximately 4:16 p.m., officers were called to the 900 block of St. Paul Street for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found an adult female, Tony, down and unresponsive on a sidewalk, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injury.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

The offender, Alfontasia Elleby, 25, of Richmond, was arrested and charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Her booking photo is attached.
