Chief of Police Rick
Edwards will address crime stats impacting the public and highlight strategies
that reduced violent crime in 2023. The briefing will also focus on other
topics, including the continuing RPD plan to make roadways safer for us all.
BACKGROUND:
This crime briefing
will inform the community of crime trends impacting public safety, recognize
successful multi-jurisdictional operations, outline department strategies, and
offer opportunities for members of the public to engage in upcoming community
events to participate in a joint effort to reduce crime.
