Victim Identified in Hull Street Road Death Investigation and Aggravated Assault x2
Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in the death investigation that occurred Monday morning on Hull Street Road as Samir Mejia-Zelaya, 19, of Richmond.
Yesterday morning at approximately 1:26 a.m., officers were called to the 5400 block of Hull Street Road for the report of random gunfire. Several minutes later the call was upgraded to a shooting in the 5700 block of Hull Street Road. Once on scene, officers located three adults in a nearby parking lot, a male, Mejia-Zelaya, down and unresponsive and a male and a female injured. They each had suffered apparent gunshot wounds and Mejia-Zelaya was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
The two injured individuals were transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
