Bryant C. Jones, 32, of the 170 block of Carlisle Street, was charged with murder and use of a firearm in connection with the shooting death of Gregory R. Carter, 37, of the 200 block of North Fourth Street.
Carter was found shot to death in his vehicle in the 5300 block of Newton Road on Sept. 14.
In October, detectives arrested Jason A. Goodson, 32, of Chesterfield and charged him with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the murder.
Major Crimes Detective James Baynes was able to link Jones to the crime after Jones was involved in an unrelated incident in Chesterfield County that furthered the homicide investigation.
