Arrest Made in Woodland Heights Homicide


An arrest has been made in connection with Sunday night’s homicide in the Woodland Heights neighborhood.



The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Tyrone T. Taylor, 35, of the 3700 block of Crutchfield Street, today and Richmond Police detectives charged him with conspiracy to commit murder.



The charge is in connection to the shooting death of Jared P. Ellison, 34, of Midlothian. Ellison was found shot at approximately 9 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, at the intersection of Forest Hill Avenue and West 34th Street. He was taken to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Detectives believe the motive for this crime was drug-related.
