The Richmond Police Department is advising residents
and visitors in the area of The bear was initially sighted by a citizen at 11 p.m. June 29 in the 1800 block of
Police are asking citizens to keep their distance
from the bear and stress not to approach it for any reason. Animal Control and
the Game Warden have been notified.
Anyone who has a sighting of the bear is encouraged
to call the Richmond Police non-emergency line at 804-646-5100.
