The
Richmond Police Department has identified the victim from Saturday’s homicide
in the Providence Park neighborhood.
At
approximately 9:21 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of Hunt Avenue
for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and found Muhammed Abu-Bakr,
57, of the 2700 block of Delmont Avenue, unresponsive in the roadway. He
was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the
scene.
The
Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
