The
Richmond Police Department has made an arrest in connection to an accidental
shooting death of a teenager that happened yesterday on Admiral Gravely
Boulevard.
Corey
R. Lewis Jr., 23, of the 1200 block of Admiral Gravely Boulevard has been charged with involuntary
manslaughter. Lewis Jr. was related to the victim.
At
approximately 4:51 p.m. yesterday, officers responded to the 1200 block of
Admiral Gravely Boulevard for the report of a shooting. When police
arrived, they located a juvenile teenage male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his
injuries shortly after.
