The
Richmond Police Department arrested several individuals last night during a
riot in the city.
They
are:

Kelley, 29, W/M, Richmond - Unlawful Assembly

Killough, 26, W/M, Richmond – Unlawful Assembly

Stephen
Loughman, 29, W/M, Richmond – Unlawful Assembly – Rioting with a Firearm
·
Wendell
Lundy, 36, B/M, Hampton – Unlawful Assembly
·
Alton
Rittenour, 26, W/M, Richmond – Unlawful Assembly
·
Justin
Thompson, 28, W/M, Hopewell – Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Rioting
These
six persons were part of a group of several hundred individuals who gathered in
Monroe Park last night then moved as a loosely organized group through
downtown, the VCU campus and the Fan – setting fires, breaking windows, tagging
buildings and sidewalks, and blocking traffic.
Shortly
after 11:00 p.m., an Unlawful Assembly was declared when the group attacked
police officers outside RPD Headquarters with rocks, batteries and other
objects and set fire to a city dump truck parked nearby.
Damage
also occurred in and around the VCU campus, especially to buildings and
businesses in the 800 block of West Grace Street.
