The Richmond Police Department has identified the male in yesterday’s death investigation on West Clay Street as Adam Oakes, 19.
Yesterday at approximately 9:16 a.m., Richmond Police Department officers were called to the 100 block of West Clay Street for the report of a person down. Officers arrived and found Oakes down and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
RPD Major Crimes detectives are working with the VCU Police Department in this death investigation.
