The Independence Day celebration in Byrd Park will bring changes to traffic. Numerous road closures and “No Parking” zones will be in effect on Sunday, July 4.
Road closures and “No Parking” zones will be in effect from approximately Noon to 11 p.m. in and around Byrd Park for the Fourth of July fireworks display by the Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities. Vehicles will not be permitted into the south end of Byrd Park and seating within the Dogwood Dell Amphitheater will not be available for viewing the fireworks.
Many streets in the Byrd Park and Carillon neighborhoods will be closed or have restricted parking. Main roads, such as Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Blanton Avenue, Pump House Drive and Park Drive will be closed to traffic.
Other roads in the area will be closed as required at approximately 8 p.m.
The Boulevard Bridge will be closed to traffic at approximately 8:20 p.m.
