Suspect, Vehicle Sought in Hit and Run
The Richmond Police Department Crash Team is investigating a life-threatening hit and run where a pedestrian was struck by an unidentified vehicle. The incident occurred this morning on Hull Street Road.
At approximately 1:51 a.m., officers were called to the 4600 block of Hull Street Road for the report of a collision. Officers arrived and found an adult female down and injured after being struck by a vehicle. She was located on the gravel shoulder off the eastbound lane of the roadway on Hull Street Road between Southwood Parkway and East Belt Boulevard.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were considered life threatening. The driver of the vehicle left the scene without stopping or rendering aid to the victim.
The RPD Crash Team responded to the scene and determined the pedestrian was walking westbound on Hull Street Road towards Southwood Parkway when she was struck by the eastbound vehicle. The investigation continues.
