Victim Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Collision at Laurel and West Main Street
Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in the pedestrian collision that occurred Friday afternoon in the 800 Block of West Main Street, as 22-year-old Mahrokh Somia Khan.
Yesterday at approximately 8:57 a.m., officers were called to the 800 block of West Main Street and found an injured adult female, Khan, in the right travel lane of West Main Street. She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The RPD Crash Team responded to the scene and determined that Khan was attempting to cross the intersection of North Laurel and West Main Street when she was struck by the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. The RPD Crash Team continues to investigate this tragic incident.
