Arrest Made in High School Parking Lot Shooting Within 48 Hours
Richmond Police detectives, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force, have made an arrest in the shooting at 4314 Crutchfield Street.
David Gutierrez, 18, of Richmond, was arrested without incident today and has been charged with attempted murder x2 and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony x2.
Thursday, at approximately 12:02 p.m., officers were called to George Wythe High School, located at 4314 Crutchfield Street, for the report of shots fired. Officers arrived and found a juvenile male in the woods off the campus of the school. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital with an injury that was considered life threatening.
Officers then received a report of another juvenile male who had been transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital with an apparent gunshot wound. The injury was not considered life threatening. This is an ongoing investigation.
