Arrest Made in Marshall Street Shooting

A Richmond man has been arrested on two felony charges in connection with an October shooting that took place in the Carver neighborhood.

Carlo N. Johnson, 23, of the 2200 block of Holly Street, turned himself in to authorities Wednesday at the Richmond Justice Center. He is charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. His booking photo is attached.

In early November, Shaahid D. Smith, 22, of the 2200 block of Holly Street, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection to the shooting. His booking photo is attached.

At approximately 2:10 a.m. on October 22, officers were called to the 1200 block of West Marshall Street for a report of a person shot. They arrived to find an adult male victim on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
