Man Wanted in Marshall Street Shooting

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted in connection with an October shooting that took place in the Carver neighborhood.


Carlo N. Johnson AKA “Lo”, 23, of Richmond, is wanted on charges of malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A recent photo is attached.

In early November, Shaahid D. Smith, 22, of the 2200 block of Holly Street, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection to the shooting. His booking photo is attached.

At approximately 2:10 a.m. on October 22, officers were called to the 1200 block of West Marshall Street for a report of a person shot. They arrived to find an adult male victim on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Johnson is described as a black male, 5’10” tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on both arms, the left side of his neck and his left hand.

He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees him is asked to call police immediately.
