The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in
yesterday’s homicide as Jahmeique L. Phillips, 18, of the 1800 block
of Q Street.
Yesterday at approximately 2:09 p.m., officers responded to
a report of a shooting in the 1800 block of Q Street. Upon arrival, officers
found two females in a side yard of a residence who were suffering from
apparent gunshot wounds.
Both females were transported to a local hospital where
Phillips died. The other victim has an injury that is not considered life
threatening.
Major Crimes detectives are pursuing several leads in this
case.
