Arrest Made, Second Suspect Wanted in East 33rd Street Homicide

A Richmond man was indicted Wednesday on two felony charges in connection to the November homicide of Javar Mayo, 24, of the 00 block of Lombardy Street, and a second suspect is wanted for the crime.

Ralph A. Kimbrough Jr, 21, of the 1000 block of Decatur Street, was initially arrested on December 7. On Wednesday, a grand jury indicted him on charges of first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. His booking photo is attached.

Around 9:45 p.m. on November 30, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of East 33rd Street. Upon arrival, officers noticed a vehicle pulled onto the curb. Inside the vehicle, they located Mayo, who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. 

Mayo was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. He succumbed to those injuries on December 1.

A second victim was located nearby on East 33rd Street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Raheem J. Davis, 20, of the 100 block of East Broad Rock Road, is wanted on felony charges in connection with the shooting and homicide.

Davis is described as a black male, 5’10” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his stomach, chest and both arms.

He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees Davis should call police immediately.
