A man has been arrested in connection to Sunday’s Q Street homicide.
Devonta S.
Ross, 22, of the 1400 block of Coalter Street, was arrested yesterday without incident in the 1700 block
of Rosecrest Avenue by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force. He is
currently charged with aggravated assault. Additional charges are pending. His
booking photo is attached.
The Richmond
Police Department has now identified all parties in this case.
Sunday at
approximately 2:09 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1800 block of Q Street. Upon arrival, officers found two females in a side yard
of a residence who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both females were transported to a local hospital where Jahmeique L. Phillips, 18, of the 1800 block of Q Street, died. The other victim has an injury that is not considered life threatening.
