Man Sought in Forest Hill Avenue Attempted Robbery/Robbery

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the man in surveillance video who is wanted in connection to a robbery and attempted robbery of two businesses on Forest Hill Avenue this weekend.

At approximately 8:45 p.m. Saturday, a man walked into the Baskin-Robbins store at 6940 Forest Hill Ave. and demanded money from the clerk. He left without receiving anything.

Approximately 20 minutes later, the same man walked into the Martin’s at 3000 Stony Point Road and demanded money from a clerk. He left with an undisclosed amount of money.

He did not display a weapon in either crime. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’7” to 5’8” and weighing between 180 and 190 pounds.

Detectives also believe this is the same man who robbed the Family Dollar at 8501 Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
