Homicide
Last night at approximately 10:10 p.m., the Richmond Police
Department responded to a call of shots fired in the 2400 block of Yorktown
Avenue. Officers arrived and found a male in the street suffering from gunshot
wounds. He was transported to VCU Medical Center where he died.
The victim is identified as Jeremy J. Meredith, 21, of the 00 block of Labrook Drive.
Detectives are in the early stages of this homicide investigation.
