Candlewood Suites Attempted Robbery Suspects Sought

The Richmond Police Department is asking the public’s assistance to help identify and find two men who attempted to rob a hotel this month.

At approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, the men in the attached surveillance photos entered the lobby of Candlewood Suites at 4301 Commerce Road, and attempted to rob the business. 

The suspects brandished a handgun but fled the business without taking anything. They left the scene on foot heading westbound on Bells Road.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, 5’10”- 6’ tall, with a thick build. He was wearing glasses with gold trim. The second suspect is a black male in his mid-20s, over 6’ tall, with a thin build. He had a cloth covering his face.
