Person of Interest in Midlothian Turnpike Homicide

Richmond Police Department detectives need the public’s assistance to identify the man in the attached photos who is a person of interest in last week’s homicide on Midlothian Turnpike.

At approximately 3 p.m. Thursday, May 7, officers were called to the 6500 block of Midlothian Turnpike for the report of a shooting. In a parking lot they found Sylvester Nichols, 24, of the 6300 block of Glenway Drive, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The person of interest in the images is described as a black male, approximately 5’ 8”, who was wearing a red t-shirt and red shorts.
