BACKGROUND: Mayor Dwight C. Jones and Colonel
Alfred Durham will update city residents on progress being made by RPD
detectives investigating eight homicides that have occurred in the City of
Richmond in 2015.
They will speak to the shootings that occurred last Thursday in which five
persons were injured, two of them fatally.
They will also review the most recent statistics for violent crimes and
property crimes in the city in 2015, which continue to show a downward trend.
The media and the general public are encouraged to attend.
