Richmond Police
detectives are seeking information about a shooting that occurred last night in
the city’s Northside.
At approximately 6:45 p.m., yesterday, officers responded to the 4000 block of Old Brook Broad for the report of a person shot. When police arrived, they located an adult male lying in the breezeway of an apartment complex suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Detectives will be re-canvassing the neighborhood this morning and handing out flyers to those in the area.
“We need the assistance of the community and anyone who may have witnessed something,” said Major Crimes Sgt. Claude Picard. “Any information, regardless of how trivial it may seem, will help detectives in this case.”
