The
annual PAL Flag Football camp begins this weekend and former Seattle
Seahawks fullback, Michael Robinson, will be encouraging participants on
their first day.
A skilled motivational speaker, Robinson will be sharing his story to nearly
100 Richmond Public Schools middle school students, and speaking about the
importance of staying motivated both on the field, and in the classroom.
“PAL Flag Football connects lives by bringing the community together through
sportsmanship, competition, and mentoring young men’s lives in a positive
environment,” said Robinson. “I am excited to be a part of the kickoff.”
Richmond Police
officers and Richmond Public Schools teachers will be coaching the numerous
teams and acting as referees during the games.
“The camp not only
reaches the Richmond students in a positive way, but the officers and teachers
as well,” said Officer Perry Barber, “It provides fellowship for all involved.”
