Quick Arrest Made in Fan Armed Robbery

Richmond Police Third Precinct officers have made a swift arrest in an armed robbery that occurred Monday night in the Fan neighborhood.

At approximately 9:54 p.m. on Monday, April 15, a victim stated he was on West Cary Street (East of the Boulevard) when a man approached him and robbed him at gunpoint. Minutes later, officers arrived on scene and spotted the suspect.

The suspect attempted to run away from the scene, but officers were able to apprehend him.

The suspect, Dante E. Burgos, 23, of the 7300 block of Foxal Rd, Mechanicsville was taken into custody and charged with robbery, possession of a firearm during a commission of felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon. His booking photo is attached.

The incident was captured on a Ring surveillance video which assisted officers in the initial investigation.
