The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help
in locating a blue SUV that is believed to be involved in a
fatal hit and run crash that happened early Saturday morning on Fairmount
Avenue.
At approximately 2:33 a.m., on Saturday, April 20, officers responded to the 2200 block of Fairmount Avenue for the report of a person down. When police arrived, they located Yvonne D. Charity, 43, of the 2200 block of Fairmount Avenue in the middle of the roadway. She had been struck by a vehicle.
Charity was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries shortly after.
