Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing information about a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day in the Swansboro neighborhood.
At approximately 3:49
a.m., officers were called to the 00 block of East 19th Street for
the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult female who had
suffered an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital
with an injury that was considered life threatening.
Detectives are asking for
anyone with knowledge of the incident or who saw suspicious activity in that
area, which is between Hull and Decatur streets, in the early hours of Friday,
January 1, to contact detectives.
