WHAT: Richmond Police Department Community Walk
WHEN: 5:30p.m., Today, Wednesday, October 27
WHERE: Walk will begin at Fresh Market, 10 N. Nansemond St.
BACKGROUND: Chief Gerald M. Smith, RPD Command Staff and other Richmond Police officers will visit with community members about safety concerns and hear their input.
Additionally, RPD will distribute helpful information to protect neighbors from property theft and theft from motor vehicles.
This event is the latest in a series of community walks hosted by the Richmond Police Department in neighborhoods throughout the city for the purpose of connecting with and listening to members of the community while educating the public on crime prevention.
Members of the media are encouraged to attend.
