Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the individuals in video and the attached photos who are suspects in an armed robbery last week.
At approximately 1:23 a.m. on Friday, October 22, the two males in the photos approached a female in a parking lot located in the 2400 block of West Cary Street, displayed a handgun and robbed her personal items. The suspects then fled on foot. There were no injuries.
The suspects were described as a black male with dreadlocks and a white male with long hair pulled up in a bun.
There were two other armed robberies reported in nearby locations on Sunday, October 3. At approximately 2:40 a.m., a female in the 2300 block of West Main Street reported she was robbed as she was exiting her vehicle by an unknown male with a handgun – and at approximately 3:10 a.m. a female sitting on steps of a building in the 3300 block of Rosewood Avenue reported she was robbed by an unknown male with a handgun. There were no injuries in either incident. Detectives are still investigating possible connections.
Detectives ask that individuals, especially in the late night and early morning hours, be alert to their surroundings and call 911 if they observe any suspicious activity.
