The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in yesterday’s death investigation as Kyre E. Smith, a male in his 20s.
Shortly before noon yesterday, officers responded to the 2200
block of Halifax Avenue for a shooting. When officers arrived, they
found Smith and another adult male who had been shot. They were taken to a
local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Smith died
later at the hospital.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
