Richmond Police have charged Darryl M. Harris, 26, of the 600 block of North Laburnum Avenue, with felony eluding police and manslaughter in connection with last night’s fatal crash.
Just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Harris disregarded a stop sign at 31st and P streets and struck a vehicle killing the driver, Anthony L. Taylor, 44, of the 500 block of Brook Road.
Henrico Police say Harris attempted to elude officers at a traffic checkpoint at Nine Mile Road at the I-64 overpass. Charges are pending in Henrico County regarding reckless driving and evidence found at the scene of the accident.
